Samaritan’s Heart has re-opened in a bigger and better location at 204 East Main Street in Florence. We are located between Mississippi Pet and Livestock and Florence Family Clinic. Please come by and see our new building.
Samaritan’s Heart is a clothing re-sale shop. It’s a community faith-based and mental health collaborative serving children and their families by supplying them with clothes and other items that have been donated. The profit from the sale of donated items is used to support the operation of the shop, such as paying rent and utilities for the building. The shop is staffed by volunteers from Florence area churches. The re-sale shop is a joint effort involving Florence area churches, Region 8 Mental Health Services, and the Mississippi Department of Mental Health-Division of Children and Youth Services.
Samaritan’s Heart accepts donations of clean children’s, men’s and women’s clothing in good wearable condition, as well shoes, purses, belts, and other clothing accessories. We also accept small decorative household and kitchen items, household linens, toys and bric-a-brac.
Please leave clothing donations only during hours the shop is open in order to prevent theft and to help us keep the store front clean.
We CAN NOT accept donations of furniture or appliances due to space limitations.
